I'm Daniel Handaru,
a full-stack product designer delivering beautifully minimalist digital experiences.
I am a digital native who designs and creates websites, apps and other internet things. I've worked in both corporate and agency environments producing and designing everything from boutique brochure sites and marketing materials, to visual design systems and prototyping, to building full-scale enterprise and multi-country site rollouts. I have 9+ years' experience in building digital solutions helping clients solve problems and create delightful user journeys.
I am at my heart an interface designer who enjoys promoting the allure and impact of minimalist UX design and am attracted to strategy and design within digital transformation projects. Personalisation features and data-driven digital experiences are fascinating to me.
My most recent role has been as UX Project Lead for a digital transformation project at HCF Australia - reimagining their sales website to give the insurance giant a refreshed look and feel, compliant with latest accessibility guidelines and promoting their solutions as a true marketplace for insurance.
I often explore photography to try to understand the world around me, and in the evenings I play in a shoegaze pop band called Grids & Dots. Thanks for coming, I hope you stay awhile.
"Design is so simple.
That's why it is so complicated"
